Grove Postmaster Arrested On Rape, Strangulation Charges

CLAREMORE, Oklahoma -

The postmaster for the Grove post office was arrested Sunday for sexual assault and domestic violence.

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office says James Bullis Sr. was charged with second degree rape by instrumentation, domestic abuse by strangulation and sexual assault.

Details of the case have not been released.  The sheriff's office says the alleged victim in the case is a family member.

Before Bullis served as Grove's Postmaster, he held the same position in Claremore.

He is currently being held in the Rogers County Jail with current bond set at $120,000.
