LUBBOCK, Texas -- No team wants to be "that team."

It can be disheartening giving up the first conference victory of the season to an opponent, but that is what the Sooners will have to deal with after an ugly 65-47 loss to the Red Raiders.

Texas Tech was 0-11 in Big 12 play entering the game but was able to keep OU from getting into any sort of a rhythm for the entire night.

The Sooners had trouble scoring the basketball, especially several players who usually have no problem putting some numbers on the board.

Steven Pledger, who leads OU in scoring on the season at 18 per game, managed only four points on 2-of-7 shooting.

Romero Osby also shot 2-of-7 on his way to nine points in the game.

Andrew Fitzgerald was the only Oklahoma player in double figures with 14 points.

The Sooners' offensive numbers across the boards were not pretty with 33 percent shooting from the field and 14 percent from behind the 3-point line.

The game didn't start off too bad for OU, which opened it up with a 5-0 run and led throughout most of the first half.

The Sooners held the lead until just under the two-minute mark, when Tech's Javarez Willis drained a 3 to put the Raiders up 23-22.

From that point on, things only got worse for the Sooners and they trailed for the remainder of the game.

The Red Raiders led by as many as 28 in the game as they started to hit their free throws late.

Oklahoma more than doubled up on Texas Tech's turnover total in the game at 15-7. That statistic was a stark difference to the last time the two teams met, when Tech turned the ball over 21 times and lost 64-55 to OU.

The loss was the fourth straight for the Sooners, who fell to 3-9 in conference play and 13-11 overall.

They will look to break that streak on Tuesday as they return home to face the Texas Longhorns at 7 p.m.
