Tulsa firefighters respond to a structure fire at an abandoned house.
Heavy smoke and flames were showing when crews arrived.
TULSA, Oklahoma -
A single-story abandoned house near Pine Street and Yorktown Avenue caught fire just before 7 a.m. on Saturday. Firefighters, who were alerted by a neighbor, arrived at the scene to heavy smoke and flames.
TFD was able to quickly get the fire under control.
"We made an interior attack, knocked it down," Tulsa Fire Equipment Operator Josh Atterberry said. "Crews did really good."
According to Atterberry, no one was known to be inside the structure when flames ignited.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
