Sapulpa's Lone Star Elementary School got an $8,100 check from Hideaway Pizza Tuesday morning.

Hideaway Pizza opened up its newest Tulsa restaurant on February 21, 2012 and Tuesday, donated that day's sales to the school during a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The 55-year-old pizza chain has donated their first day's sales from their five most recent openings to schools with a specific identified need.

Lone Star Elementary principal Justin Whitehouse says the school will use the money to help finish resurfacing the school's outdoor track.

The newest Hideaway in Tulsa is located in Tulsa Hills Shopping complex at 71st and U.S. Highway 75 and is the 6th Hideaway restaurant in Tulsa.
