Brush Fire Near Pogue Airport Keeps Osage County Firefighters Busy

The Red Cross office in Tulsa has sent its disaster action team and emergency response vehicle to support those firefighters.

Osage County firefighters are battling a stubborn brush fire near the Pogue Airport north and west of Sand Springs.  

The fire is about 50 percent contained but still threatens an estimated 60 structures - down from 90 structures Tuesday morning, officials told News On 6.

The Red Cross office in Tulsa has sent its disaster action team and emergency response vehicle to support those firefighters.

Red Cross is providing meals, beverages and snacks to around 100 firefighters from Green County Fire, Rock Fire and Sand Springs Fire departments.
