TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa public schools announced Wednesday that interim Edison Prep football coach Chris Hall had been promoted to head football coach for the Eagles, starting in the 2012 season.

"We are pleased to announce that Chris Hall will be our new head football coach at Edison," said Gil Cloud, interim TPS athletic director. "Chris has a wealth of knowledge and will be an asset to the Edison football program."

The Eagles were winless a year ago, playing in a tough Class 5A District 4, and hope to rebound from the tough close to the season. Hall has coached at Cascia Hall, Tulsa Central, Geronimo, Lawton and Lawton Eisenhower.
