A Tulsa company tops the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's "Wall of Shame."

Enterprise Holdings LLC, also known as EAN Holdings, is accused of racking up $116,924 in unpaid tolls and $1,783,288 in unpaid fees with the port authority.

See the Port Authority's Wall of Shame list.

The port authority recently went public with its Wall of Shame list and this week filed lawsuits against a number of what it called "egregious commercial and individual toll violators."

Enterprise Holdings LLC responded with a copy of a news release it issued in June 2011 concerning unpaid tolls.

The company says its Shared Services Center in Tulsa is working with various government entities so that those entities can "more quickly identify individuals and deal directly with those responsible for paying these fines."

Enterprise Holdings LLC operates Alamo, Enterprise and National car rental brands.

The company says information about violators is reviewed and, whenever possible, transmitted to individual cities and counties, allowing their respective courts to enforce outstanding citations more rapidly and reduce backlogs of unpaid fines.

Gary Cunningham, vice president of business management at Enterprise Holdings LLC, says it is their preference "for local officials to work directly with car rental customers, because that is the most efficient and cost-effective method of processing any fines."

Steve Coleman with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirms it is working with Enterprise Holdings LLC, but says if it doesn't get an agreement in the near future, he expects the port authority to file a lawsuit in Tulsa County District Court.
