Man Arrested After SUV Hits Tulsa Home Early Friday

A woman was awakened when an SUV crashed into the kitchen of her home early Friday morning. 

Tulsa Police say the crash happened at 1:30 a.m. near 24^th and 126^th East Avenue.

Officers say a Chevy Blazer swerved off the road and smashed into the corner of the house. 

Police arrested the man they believe was driving the SUV after finding him hiding in a home nearby.  They say he was intoxicated.

The homeowner says her kitchen sustained thousands of dollars in damage. 

The woman was not injured.
