When severe weather threatens Oklahoma, the first thing you want to know is when the storms will affect you or people you know.  Where do you go to find a radar presentation that provides you with all the information you need?  Believe it or not, there are FOUR different ways you can track storms on your home computer directly from our web site,  From the home page, simply click on the "Weather" tab and then click on "Radars." From there, you can find four different ways to track storms.  Here's a brief description of each one:

Option 1) Interactive ESP Radar
This is probably our most straight-forward and easiest to use radar presentation.  You can view an hour-long radar loop from any region in Oklahoma or across the entire state.  New radar images update automatically and you can pause any frame within the loop.  You also have to option to view a "winterize" the radar and see where the rain is vs. the snow.  You also have the option to place stormtracks, locate hail/rotation/intense rotation (all as indicated by radar), see lightning strikes, and even turn on warnings (Severe Storm, Tornado, and Flood).  It's a quick and easy way to track storms!

Option 2) Street Level Radar
If you want a more thorough map and presentation, this is the one to use.  You can manually zoom to view the entire country or to one specific county in any state.  You can view the map alone, with a terrain overlay, or with a satellite overlay.  You can then select a slew of different variables to put on the map, from temperatures to snow depth.  This is very much an "all-encompassing" presentation.

Option 3) Storm Tracker Radar
This presentation is similar to our Street Level Radar, but with all of the radar variables contained in a menu bar at the top of the map.  This radar option caters to those who want to follow not only radar, but also live video from stormtrackers across the country.  When you select this radar option, an automatic "Streamer Console" appears on your screen with a list of stormtrackers currently streaming live video, listed by number of viewers currently watching said video stream.  This is a good option if you want to follow stormchasers across the country during severe weather.

Option 4) I-News Desktop Radar

This is a program you download onto your computer and it runs in the background.  It will alert you to current watches and warnings by county, provide current weather conditions, and even show local and national radar presentations.  A great option for a constant warning system right on your home or office computer!
