Jill Van Trease is a mother of five, soon to be six. Heather Davis has two girls. What they have in common, besides motherhood, and blogging about it, is they've both been selected to participate in the Listen to Your Mother live presentation in northwest Arkansas later this month.

"My kids are professional kids and I'm an amateur mom, at best, If they throw something at me I can either let it ruin my day or just go with it," Heather said.

"The biggest thing is I pick my battles, they can be messy sometimes or argue with me about certain points, but if something is important to me there's a line they know not to cross," Jill said.

The Northwest Arkansas event will feature a dozen or so moms who will read their best pieces about motherhood. There are ten events like this one around the country this year celebrating mothers and Mother's Day.
