GRDA Reopens Highway Over Pensacola Dam

The Grand River Dam Authority has completed its inspection of the Pensacola Dam roadway two days early and as a result, the state Highway 28 that crosses the dam reopened to traffic Wednesday evening.

GRDA officials say the inspection is required every two years. 

Officials added because of a complete closure of the road early in the week, crews were able to work quickly and safely and complete the project ahead of schedule.
