A spokesman for Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin says she's "flattered" to be mentioned as a possible vice presidential candidate, but that she is focused on her job as the state's top executive.
Fallin's name was mentioned as a "longshot" running mate for Mitt Romney during a segment Wednesday morning on ABC's "Good Morning America."
Fallin spokesman Alex Weintz says the governor has not had any conversations with the Romney campaign about a vice presidential nomination, and she has yet to endorse a candidate in the presidential race. Rick Santorum won Oklahoma's presidential primary on March 6 with 34 percent of the vote. Romney barely edged Newt Gingrich for a second-place finish.
A former lieutenant governor, Fallin served two terms in the U.S. House before her 2010 election as governor.
