TULSA, Oklahoma - The most prestigious North American championship in the Arabian show horse industry will be spending each October in Tulsa through the year 2017.

The Arabian Horse Association inked a five-year extension Tuesday which keeps the flagship event at Tulsa's Expo Square.

"The Arabian Horse Association looks forward to continuing the wonderful relationship AHA has enjoyed with Tulsa since first coming here in 2008," Lance Walters, president of the Arabian Horse Association said.

The event is estimated to have an annual $35 million economic impact for the city of Tulsa. It is also estimated 175,000 visitors and participants attend the event each year.
