The search continues for the third inmate who escaped from the Okfuskee County Jail late Monday.

Meanwhile, the Okfuskee County Sheriff's Office has released more information about the escape.

Sheriff Jack Choate says an inmate trustee smuggled a hacksaw blade into the jail, which the three inmates used to saw through the bars of a jail window.

Gerald Adams, 40, Keith Smith, 45, and Tanner Hicks, 21, climbed out a fifth floor window.

Hicks was caught outside the jail within minutes of the escape.  Adams and Smith got away, but Sheriff Choate says Adams injured himself during the escape and was found hiding in a nearby alley Tuesday.

The trio made a rope out of blankets, but the sheriff says Adams lost his grip and fell almost two stories to the ground. He has since been taken to an Oklahoma City hospital.

Both Hicks and Adams now face additional charges stemming from the escape.

Keith Smith remains at large.

Sheriff Choate says Smith is from Okemah and expects to find him soon.  As for the trustee, he is expected to be charged with aiding in the escape.

Choate says if anyone knows where Keith Smith is to call the Okfuskee County Sheriff's Office at 918-623-1122.

Smith is considered armed and dangerous.
