Former Fresno Receiver Jalen Saunders Transfers to Oklahoma

The First-Team All-WAC receiver will join the Oklahoma Sooners, Bob Stoops announced Tuesday.

First-team All-WAC receiver Jalen Saunders, has transferred to the Oklahoma football program, Bob Stoops announced via press release Tuesday.

"We are excited to add an explosive player in Jalen to our program," said Stoops. "He has great speed as evident by his yards-per-catch average and is someone who can contribute to our program in a number of ways."

The 5-foot-9, 160-poud receiver finished the 2011 season with 1,065 yards on 50 receptions and 12 touchdowns, turning in the ninth 1,000-yard season in Fresno State history. As a true freshman in 2010, Saunders brought in 27 catches for 441 yards and three touchdowns.

Saunders will come into Oklahoma with two years of eligibility left, not having used a redshirt during his time at Fresno State.
