Oklahoma City police are trying to determine what led to the death of a person whose body was found Monday morning in the Oklahoma River just southwest of W. Reno Avenue and S. Western Avenue.

Joggers spotted the body around 11 a.m. near 1310 Exchange Avenue. They called police who came and pulled the victim from the water.

Police have not classified the death as a drowning, homicide or suicide because they don't yet know how the person died. Police will only say the body appears to have been in the water for "a while," but they don't have an exact time.

Crime scene investigators are searching the area for evidence. Police have not determined the victim's identity.
