TULSA, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa Drillers easily took the first two games of the series against Midland, but Monday afternoon the RockHounds used an extra inning to down the Drillers 2-1.

In the top of the 10th, with the bases loaded and two outs, Midland's Anthony Ailotti was at the plate and pitcher Joey Williamson's 1-2 pitch was outside and slipped past the glove of catcher Jose Gonzalez and rolled to the backstop allowing Leonardo Gil to score the go-ahead run for the win.

The Drillers were held to three hits on the afternoon and Williamson allowed three walks in the tenth while striking out two.

Tulsa's only run of the game came in the first. Josh Rutledge leadoff by drawing a walk. He later stole second and scored when Nolan Arenado connected on a base hit.

The second of Tulsa's three singles in the game came in the second frame on a base hit by Kent Matthes, but after that the Drillers didn't manage another until the bottom of the tenth.

The RockHounds managed a pair of hits and a walk to load the bases in the fifth. A sacrifice fly by Leonardo Gil knotted the score 1-1.

Tulsa starter Dan Houston went 6.2 innings striking out five but he allowed five hits, three walks and one run.

Even with the loss, the Drillers still hold a three-game lead over second place in the North Division Standing.

Tulsa resumes play Wednesday in Frisco at 7 p.m.
