TULSA, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa Shock built up a big lead in the first half and cruised to a 91-75 win over the Los Angeles Sparks Tuesday, grabbing their second win of the season.

The contest was actually close for the opening minutes of the contest, with the game tied 10-10 at the 3:44 mark. However, that's when the Shock strung together a big run to close the quarter. Tulsa snapped off 10 unanswered, part of a 13-2 run capped by a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Riquina Williams to head into the second quarter with a 23-12 advantage.

Tulsa's run continued in the start of the second quarter, doubling up on the Sparks 12-6 in the first six minutes of the second quarter. The Shock outscored Los Angeles 25-13 in the second quarter to head into the locker room at half holding a 48-25 lead.

That lead would hold in the second half, as the Sparks were only able to keep pace with the Shock in the final 20 minutes.

Williams set the pace for the game, finishing with a game-high 27 points in the win. Ivory Latta was not far behind, finishing with 21 points and eight assists, while Temeka Johnson chipped in 11 points and seven assists.

Kristi Toliver finished with 21 points and seven assists for the Sparks, with Nneka Ogwumike adding 12 points and seven rebounds in the loss.

Tulsa is now one win away from tying their three-win output from a season ago, and has a shot at No. 3 at 7 p.m. Friday against Atlanta.
