A special DUI enforcement task force will target offenders and aggressive drivers in and around Tulsa County over the Fourth of July holiday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said in a news release Friday.
In order to cover more ground, there will be no DUI checkpoints, Lieutenant George Brown said.
Saturation patrols by nearly a dozen state troopers will begin Friday and last through July 8, beginning each night at 7 p.m. and lasting until 3 a.m.
Areas of concentration include Interstate 44 and Interstate 244 from U.S. Highway 75 to U.S. Highway 169.
Patrols are also scheduled along U.S. Highway 75 North to the Washington County line and U.S. Highway 412 West to Keystone Lake.
