The man who led law enforcement officers on a two-day manhunt and prompted an Amber Alert went before a judge Thursday after being apprehended in Norman Wednesday night.

News 9 spoke with 3-year-old Chasity's mother by phone Thursday. She is obviously overwhelmed with all that has happened.

Kimberly Bristow was reunited with her daughter Wednesday night in Norman. The little girl seemed unfazed by all the excitement around her.

Police found her and her father, 32-year-old Robert Almon, at Almon's estranged wife's apartment off McGee St.

Both Almon and his wife, Michelle Wilson, were arrested. She may face charges of harboring a fugitive. She was taken to Cleveland County jail, but has since bonded out.

Almon is currently in the Pottawatomie County jail on a $110,000 bond. He could face charges of child endangerment, kidnapping and eluding a police officer, as well as the assault and battery charge he was being served a warrant on Tuesday.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff tells News 9 they had visited with the wife earlier in the day Wednesday, but that her story just did not add up. He says when they went back to her apartment, that's where they found him.

A 10-year-old family friend was also in the car when Almon ran from police officers on Tuesday. Almon dropped the boy off on the side of the road Tuesday night.
