Police said road rage caused a three-car collision during rush hour Wednesday evening.

George Cameron Meese, 28, of Tulsa, was arrested on several complaints, including assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated DUI, driving while under suspension and five counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

Tulsa Police said witnesses saw Meese on Highway 169 ramming a silver car with his 2008 Chevy pickup truck with Texas tags.  Witnesses said he then took off, so the silver car followed him until he stopped on 11th Street near Highway 169.

Police said Meese then exited his truck and began striking the silver car with a crowbar and a hammer. Witnesses said his speech was slurred and he appeared to be intoxicated.

The driver of the silver car said Meese rammed into him five different times.

Meese also failed to put his truck in park, causing it to collide with a utility truck that was in the next lane.

When police arrived, they found Meese's tags were expired and his license was suspended.

Meese was arrested and booked into a Tulsa County jail Wednesday evening on a bond of nearly $15,000.  Police said his blood alcohol content was .17%.
