MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -

The suspect accused of opening fire inside the Arrowhead Mall in Muskogee back in 2010 appeared will return to court Tuesday.

Dondray Fowler, 19, is accused of shooting inside the mall, killing one person and injuring five others.

On Monday, Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Moore said that the mall security video will prove the shooting was intentional.

But defense attorneys said Fowler fired in self-defense.

Jurors first heard from a consulting crime analyst, who went over the security video in detail to try and describe where the shooter was inside the mall when the shots were actually fired.

Jurors also heard from witnesses in the mall.

One woman said she found the gun under her car.

Another witness is a retired McAlester police officer. He said he was near the food court and noticed a group of people dressed in mostly black and white, and one man, specifically, dressed in burnt orange. He said they were being loud and boisterous, and then he heard a disturbance.

Then he felt a sharp pain in his side, as he had been shot.

The last witness was Donald Fowler, the defendant's father. He said he gave his son a ride that day, but he said nothing of the mall shooting.

He said Dondray later called and told him about a gun hidden beneath his grandmother's home. Donald said that his son did ask for the gun, and he said, "Absolutely not."

Donald said he actually went to the house, found the gun himself, put it in an ice chest, and hid it under the porch of a neighboring home.

Just a few days after the shooting, Donald Fowler was arrested for tampering with evidence.

Prosecutors expect this trial to last throughout the week.
