The Tulsa Drillers refused to quit Thursday night, but its comeback bid came up just short against Frisco. The Drillers scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth, but still fell to the RoughRiders 6-5.

Up 2-0 in the second, Ben Paulsen hit a two-run double to increase the RoughRider lead to 4-0. The game was 5-2 heading to the ninth when Engel Beltre hit a solo shot for Frisco that ended up being the game-winning run.

Wilfredo Boscan (W, 5-5) pitched 5 2/3 innings for Frisco to get the win, while Josh Outman (L, 1-4) allowed three earned runs in six innings but took the loss.

The Drillers will look to avoid the sweep when the series with Frisco concludes Friday night at 7 p.m.
