OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Oklahoma State Department of Health released new numbers about the West Nile Virus Tuesday, and revealed there have been no new deaths from the disease. There were, however, four new cases of the disease in the last week.

West Nile Virus has killed three Oklahomans this summer and hospitalized 42 people. There have been 65 cases in all in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma City crews will search Tuesday afternoon for mosquitos that may be spreading the potentially deadly West Nile Virus.

A crew from the city's Storm Water Quality Division will drop a camera down a manhole near S.W. 44th Street and Blackwelder. The workers will search the sewer line for mosquito infestations. If necessary, crews will treat the area with a chemical to kill mosquito larvae.

The city of Moore is also taking steps to prevent the spread of West Nile Virus. Tuesday at 8 p.m., crews will spray for mosquitos in several neighborhoods.

The EPA says the chemical is not harmful to people and pets unless it is swallowed.
