TULSA, Oklahoma -

The 49-year-old manager of a Tulsa Dollar General Store has been arrested as a peeping Tom. A female employee alerted police to the man's alleged crimes after using the bathroom at the store.

Investigators say he used his cell phone to record video of the woman and it wasn't a one-time thing.

Gary Wayne Weiser was arrested Monday night, but investigators say the store manager had actually been secretly taping the victim for the past two weeks.

Tulsa Police say the 24-year-old victim works with Weiser at the discount store location at 35 South 49th West Avenue.

The victim went to the restroom Monday night while she was working. She says, across from the toilet, there is a shelf that has toilet paper and she noticed something strange on the shelf. That's when she saw a camera lens and realized she was being recorded.

The woman says the white cell phone was hidden behind the paper towels.

She looked through the contacts and discovered it belonged to her store manager, Weiser.

Crystal Willis, a Tulsa resident, says she shops at this discount store in West Tulsa all the time.

"That's really nasty and disgusting really," Willis said. "For them to be doing that, period: it makes me want to puke."

When officers showed up, they say Weiser was trying to hide the cell phone in his pocket.

Investigators say they found four separate videos and some pictures on Weiser's phone of the same victim taken over a two-week period.

"Anywhere people are vulnerable or they have an expectation of privacy, sometimes those are the places they need to keep an eye out for," said Corporal Eric Leverington, of Tulsa Police's Sex Crimes division.

He said "peeping Tom" is an escalating crime.

"They'll move into more severe-type sexual crimes, so we always like to try to find people who are doing peeping Tom stuff like that, because that maybe prevents something in the future," Leverington said.

Weiser was arrested and the police report states he confessed to investigators.

He was booked on four counts of peeping Tom.

Police say beware of your surroundings, because you never know who - or what - is watching.

Police believe the Dollar General restroom was for employees only and not open to the public.

Gary Weiser is being held on $2,000-bond at a Tulsa County jail.
