TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Police are investigating the possible abduction and sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl at a walking trail near Greenwood and Latimer Tuesday evening.

Police are looking for three men and say one of them may be armed.

Police told News On 6 that around 6 p.m. the girl was on the trail with a friend. They said the friend left early and the girl started to walk to her home in the neighborhood.

They said the girl's mother said she started to get worried around 7:30 p.m. and went out looking for her daughter. The mother searched for about 30 to 45 minutes, calling the girl's name.

That's when police say the girl started screaming for her mother and came out of a wooded area looking disheveled.

The victim told officers someone came up behind her and grabbed her, pulling her into some bushes.

"He had on all black. She knew that and grabbed her by the neck and pulled her back in the bushes," said Tulsa Police Sgt. Dedlorn Sanders.

The victim told police some men were touching and kissing her.

She says one of the men put a gun to her head.  She says she got scared and passed out and two and a half hours later woke up with her hands tied and pants unbuttoned.

Tulsa Police used their helicopter and a K-9 officer to search the area, but found no one.

Police have done a forensic interview with the girl, but say they only have a vague description of the suspects. Investigators said they will return to the park Wednesday to search for evidence.

The girl's mother said they live nearby and she's always considered it a safe neighborhood.
