Cleveland Man Accused Of Child Sexual Assault

PAWNEE COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A Cleveland, Oklahoma man is facing a charge in Houston, Texas. Tony Ray Morrison is accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old Harris County girl in 2010.

Morrison is currently locked up in the Pawnee County jail where he faces counts including first degree rape by instrumentation of a child under the age of 14 and forcible sodomy.

Morrison, 36, was arrested by Cleveland Police in late August. Court records show that a woman questioned her 6-year-old after the little girl said Morrison had asked her to keep a secret.

The little girl said he had touched her inappropriately twice while she was at a relative's home where Morrison lived.

An affidavit of probable cause notes that Morrison is 7 feet tall and 350 pounds.

Earlier this month, Morrison's attorney announced at his arraignment, his intent to file a request for a competency evaluation.

Tony Ray Morrison's next court hearing is set for October 23rd.
