OWASSO, Oklahoma -

Owasso Fire and ONG were called out to a natural gas line break behind the Walmart store on 96th Street North Thursday morning.

Fire officials say a backhoe on a construction line hit a two-inch line while digging a trench.

The gas didn't ignite and with strong southerly winds, firefighters say they did not need to evacuate the nearby Walmart.

As a precaution, construction crews north of the leak area were moved until the gas dissipated.
