TULSA, Oklahoma -

A man slammed his truck into a Tulsa family's home near 51st Street and Memorial Road just as they were cooking dinner.

Jennifer Tate and her husband heard the tires squeal and jumped into the hallway.

That's when the truck plowed through the dining room sending the table flying into the kitchen.

"As he was trying to back up another vehicle pulled up behind him to stop him from leaving and then as he started trying to back up the neighbor came out and just said hey you need to stop right there 'cause we're waiting for the police to come," homeowner Jennifer Tate said.

The driver was taken to the hospital to get checked out.

Tate said her kids were sleeping in the back of the house and no one was hurt.
