Police Release Identity Of Victim In Northwest OKC Shooting

Oklahoma City police release the identity of the man killed in a possible gang-related shooting.

Police said they found 21-year-old Orlando Joshawn Smith in a parking lot at the Putnam Green Apartment complex located in the 7400 block of Knight Lake Drive just before 4:30 p.m. Sunday, October 14. An ambulance transported him to Presbyterian hospital, where he died.

According to police, several people in the area when the victim was shot. Witnesses told investigators the victim actually walked a short distance and then collapsed.

At this time it's unknown what led up to the shooting. Anyone with information should contact the Homicide Tip Line 405-297-1200. Callers can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a cash reward.
