TULSA, Oklahoma -

A big donation to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma will get even bigger, thanks to a Tulsa foundation.

Right now, the George Kaiser Family Foundation is matching food bank donations dollar-for-dollar.

Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 430, and the Mechanical Contractors Industry Promotion Fund gave $10,000 to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma Monday.

That amount will get bumped up to $20,000, providing 100,000 meals to needy Oklahomans, thanks to the George Kaiser Family Foundation.

"I think that's the power of this match. Everybody knows that their gift can make a difference," said food bank director Eileen Bradshaw.

The two groups had donated food in the past, but this is the first time they've donated money.
