BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

A Broken Arrow family is homeless after a fire destroys their house. It happened around midnight in the 900 block of West Utica.

Police say the family escaped uninjured and were able to salvage a few possessions. A neighbor told News On 6 that the family pet got out safely as well.

The father is a Broken Arrow firefighter and the mother a school teacher.

Two cars were destroyed. The cause of the fire was still undetermined Friday morning.
