Some residents in southwestern Oklahoma were a little rattled New Year's Day when a small earthquake struck.

The 2.8 magnitude quake hit just after 5:30 a.m. January 1, and was centered 6 miles northeast of Loco. That's about 62 miles northeast of Wichita Falls, Texas.

There were no reports of injuries or damage from the quake.
