Driver Arrested After Hitting Sign Pole On Tulsa's I-244

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a woman for DUI after her car hit a sign pole in a construction zone early Friday.

The crash happened at 1:30 a.m. on I-244 near state Highway 11.

Troopers say she hit a highway sign pole which was lying behind a barricade waiting to be installed, and that it nearly took off the front of her car.

The OHP says troopers took the woman to the Tulsa County jail where she was given a sobriety test. 

Troopers say a passenger in the car ran off before they arrived.
