McCURTAIN COUNTY, Oklahoma -
A man from Powderly, Texas, was killed after he crashed his vehicle in McCurtain County Saturday night.
It happened at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 70, just east of Millerton in McCurtain County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 58-year-old Bobby Clyde Lambert was driving a 1997 Jeep, westbound on U.S. 70, when he lost control of the vehicle.
The car reportedly struck the under carriage on a ditch and a barb wire fence, before coming to rest on the driver side of the vehicle. It overturned at least three and a quarter times.
Lambert was thrown out of the vehicle during the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries, according to the OHP collision report.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
