For the second year, a Tulsa man is spending his birthday giving back to the homeless.
Nick Wagoner, 25, held a birthday bash at the Salvation Army's Center of Hope on Saturday.
There were live bands, face painting for the kids and, of course, a cake.
"We wanted it to be more than just a party," Wagoner said. "We wanted to send a message to the folks staying here, and also everybody coming in, a message that everybody has value and there's hope for everybody."
Instead of gifts for himself, Wagoner asked people to bring things for the families staying at the shelter.
