SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -

Oklahoma Baptist avenged its first home loss with an extra-inning walk-off win against second-ranked Lubbock Christian in Sooner Athletic Conference softball action Thursday night.

OBU lost the opener 4-0 despite seven hits, including two each by Amanda Harmon, Kenna Self and Krystal Johnson.

Katera Eltsosie (8-2) got the win for LCU, out-dueling Noelle McDowell, who fanned four and allowed three earned runs in the route-going performance.

Game two was much more dramatic.

Lubbock Christian took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth on a two-run home run by Stephanie Rendon.

LCU starter Courtney McGee took her season-long scoreless inning streak to 27.1 innings before OBU ended it in the fourth. After back-to-back singles by Johnson and Dara Gray, LaNae Sanchez cranked out her second home run of the season for a 3-2 lead. Harmon added an RBI single to put the lead at 4-2.

LCU scored one in the sixth to make it 4-3 and was down to the last strike in the top of the seventh before Megan Sullivan doubled home the tying run to make it 4-4.

The Lady Chaps scored three times in the top of the eighth on a three-run home run by Latainna Eltsosie and seemed to have control.

OBU, however, tied the game on the first three pitches of the bottom of the eight. With a runner at second on the international tiebreaker rule, Hannah Morris ripped the first pitch of the inning to left to make it 7-6. Two pitches later, Self sent one over the right-center field fence to tie the game.

Katera Eltsosie then relieved McGee and plunked Johnson, who moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Sanchez. With two out, Kasey Maddox dropped a bloop single into left field and Johnson scored the game-winner.

Hannah Wilbur (4-0) picked up the win in relief after Chianelle Flores held the Lady Chaps to three runs over six innings.

OBU had 15 hits in the game, including three each by Morris and Self and two apiece by Harmon, Johnson and Gray.

OBU, now 12-3 overall and 1-1 in the SAC, host LCU at 1 p.m., closing out the series with a doubleheader.
