One Arrested After Short Pursuit In NW OKC

A short police chase in northwest Oklahoma City ended in a two-vehicle crash and one arrest, Saturday night.

Police say the chase started on Hefner Rd. when a vehicle would not pull over for a minor traffic offense.

Officers pursued the suspect vehicle, a silver Kia, to the parking lot of a Circle K gas station near NW 63rd and Broadway where the Kia crashed into a back Jeep Cherokee.

The driver of the Kia bailed out of the vehicle and took off on foot. He was taken into custody a short distance away from the scene of the crash.

Police did not say why the suspect ran and have not released that person's identity. The occupants of the Jeep only received minor injuries.
