What started out as a woman selling drugs out of a hotel room last week has resulted nine arrests and two people facing federal drug indictments.

The investigation was a team effort, between Indian, local and federal agents in Rogers County. They say they caught a woman selling meth out of one of the rooms at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and once they busted her, that led them to other people up and down the supply chain.

Raven Frederick-Holmes, from Tulsa, and Gonzalo Ponce-Arturez, from Austin, Texas, have now both been indicted in federal court for conspiring to sell more than 500 grams of methamphetamine.

The arrests happened last week, and the case has moved pretty quickly to get these two indictments. The other seven people arrested will be charged in Rogers County district court later this week.

The District Attorney said this type of team effort between agencies makes a big difference for citizens, who now have less meth circulating in their neighborhoods.

"They all came together in a collaboration, which netted getting over two pounds of crystal methamphetamines off of the streets in Rogers County, so I believe it was a great success, and I'm very proud of all the agencies working together for the better of our community," said DA Janice Steidley.

Investigators say they believe there is a Mexican cartel connection behind bringing in and selling this amount of meth in northeastern Oklahoma, and this investigation is not over yet.
