The Oklahoma City RedHawks (3-1) exploded for five runs in the top of the 11th inning, sending the RedHawks to a 14-10 victory over the Memphis Redbirds in a wild game before 7,534 at AutoZone Park Sunday afternoon.

With the score tied 9-9 in the 11th, the RedHawks had none on and two out. After Che-Hsuan Lin walked, Cody Clark followed with a single. Facing a full count against Barret Browning (0-1), Robbie Grossman delivered a single into center field to put the RedHawks in the lead.

Jake Elmore followed with another RBI single, and Trevor Crowe capped the rally with a three-run homer into the Memphis bullpen to make it 14-9.

Elmore finished 5-for-6 with three RBI, including his first home run of the season. Grossman reached base safely five times, adding three walks to his two hits.

Brock Peterson homered to lead off the bottom of the inning for Memphis, but the Redbirds never seriously threatened a comeback. Peterson's home run was the first one allowed by the RedHawks in 13 games dating back to last season and ended a stretch of 113 consecutive innings of keeping opponents in the park.

Although credited with a blown save, RedHawks reliever Jose Valdez (1-0) tossed 2.2 scoreless innings to earn his first win since Apr. 12, 2011. After starting pitcher Brett Oberholtzer surrendered seven runs over 4.1 innings, four RedHawks relievers gave up just three over the final 6.2 frames.

Winners of three straight, the RedHawks will continue their road trip in Nashville Monday night at 7:05 p.m.
