TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -

A Tahlequah Navy veteran Got his long overdue Purple Heart Friday.

Congressman Markwayne Mullin presented Paul Phillips with the medal. In Vietnam, Phillips suffered burns to 29 percent of his body after an explosion.

Once the Chief Petty Officer recovered, he returned to action.
