DEL CITY, Oklahoma -

Police have arrested a 14-year-old girl in the death of her 7-month-old son, according to Del City Police Capt. Jody Suit.

Jennifer Respicio was arrested at a home in the 4700 block of S.E. 18th Street, and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a homicide complaint.

Sunday, an ambulance rushed her son, Jaiden, to a hospital. When he arrived, he was unresponsive and pronounced dead. Capt. Suit said it's believed the boy died from child abuse.

According to Suit, the baby's grandmother had custody of the child, but she was at work and Respicio was at home with a boyfriend when Jaiden was injured.

Suit said the baby's father is a 15-year-old boy, but police don't believe he had any involvement in the infant's death.
