Grandmother Of Tahlequah Toddler Burned In Meth Lab Pleads Guilty

MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -

A Tahlequah woman entered a guilty plea in federal court Tuesday after authorities say her grandchild was burned from meth lab chemicals.

Brenda Vann, 54, pled guilty to manufacturing meth, conspiracy to manufacture meth, endangering human life while illegall manufacturing controlled substances and manufacturing meth on premises where children are present.

The child was 27 months old when the injury occurred. Cherokee County Undersheriff Jason Chennault said they believe Vann waited a day before seeking medical care for the child.

Vann and two other Tahlequah residents, 23-year-old Lisa Creech and 20-year-old Andrew Braddock, are accused of manufacturing 50 or more grams of methamphetamine between August, 2012 and January, 2013.

If convicted, Vann could face up to 40 years in federal prison and up to an $8 million fine.

Creech entered a guilty plea to manufacture of meth on premises where children are present. She could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
