Oklahoma City police arrest a woman early Wednesday morning after she allegedly assaulted her pregnant roommate with a hammer.

According to a police report, Abigail Easton, 27, hit her roommate following an argument over noise. It happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at 2437 S.W. 32nd Street in Oklahoma City.

The victim, who is six-months pregnant, told police she had to be in court in the morning and that Easton was being loud. The victim said she confronted Easton and two got into a verbal argument when Easton hit her in the eye with a hammer.

Officers found Easton in her bedroom along with the hammer on the floor. Easton told police she felt surrounded by her roommates and just "started swinging," and that she would never hit anybody on purpose.

Officers arrested Easton and booked her into the Oklahoma County Jail on an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charge.
