An Oklahoma City woman says she's all out of options after having her identity stolen and being framed for crimes she did not commit.

When Vernessa Hamilton found out three bench warrants had been issued for her arrest, she started digging and soon discovered an unlikely suspect.

"I'm very upset, and more than anything, I'm hurt because that's my sister," Vernessa said.

Vernessa calls what happened "ultimate betrayal". She says her sister, Chrystal Hamilton, committed traffic violations in her name by using Vernessa's ID. According to court records, Chrystal has been on a roll without facing the music. Her alleged offenses include: driving on a suspended license, driving without a license and failure to show insurance.

"Everyone knows … all three of these tickets are automatically, you go to jail," Vernessa said.

When Vernessa fought the charges in Oklahoma City, she learned there were even more warrants in her name out of Bethany. Court records show Vernessa was able to get some warrants changed to Chrystal's name, but the others are in limbo.

News 9 stopped by Chrystal's apartment. She was home but refused to go on camera and would not talk off camera. Vernessa says she still loves her sister, but hopes she is arrested soon to pay for the betrayal.

"I don't know what else to do," Vernessa said. "I tried it my way. It didn't work. I tried to leave it in the streets. It didn't work."

Vernessa says she is currently talking with police to try to open an investigation into the identity theft. She is just hoping there will be no more surprises or arrest warrants issued in her name.
