TULSA, Oklahoma -

Technology won in a landslide Tuesday night in Tulsa.

Voters said a $38 million school bond was worth a property tax hike. The bond will pay for door locks and security cameras, but the largest portion will pay for new computers, which have become essential for school testing.

Tulsa Public Schools will now have one computer for every three students.

"Tomorrow morning, 40,000 kids have a better chance for an education with a better complement of technology that we didn't have when this day started, and we know that we will have it," said TPS Superintendent Keith Ballard.

Voters in Muskogee approved an even bigger school bond: $47 million for construction and renovations.
