A Campaign 2013 oversight could cost Rogers County $25,000.

On Tuesday, voters approved an extension of a One-Cent Sales Tax for county road improvements.

However, it appears notice of the election was never published in any Rogers County newspaper, which is required by state law.

The County Clerk and the Election Board Secretary each say it was the other's responsibility to publish the notice.

This means voters can contest the election, which would mean the results would have to be thrown out and they would have to vote again.
