PR Specialist Offers Tips On Effectively Using Social Media In Times Of Crisis

Moore has been on people's hearts and minds since a tornado hit there Monday. Thousands have been showing their support on social media, and that includes News On 6 graphic artist Angela Taylor.

When she saw pictures of ribbons being posted online, inspiration hit.

"I wanted to do something that was my own, instead of something I just pulled off. So, I worked on this and thought, 'Well, we could also use this at the station," Taylor said.

We posted the ribbon on our station Facebook page, and it's been shared more than 3,000 times in just a few hours.

We spoke with a public relations specialists about how people are using social media sites to stay connected.
