OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City Community College will close its campus until June 10 so crews can clean up the damage left by Friday's severe storms.

The college said Monday the storms had damaged the main campus at 7777 S. May Avenue, as well as portions of the Family and Community Education Center at 6500 S. Land Avenue.

The storm hit Friday, May 31, before the summer semester began. OCCC decided to delay the summer session until June 10 so crews could repair the damage. The school is asking everyone, both students and staff, to stay away from the campus.

All adult basic education classes and GED classes scheduled either on the main campus or the FACE Center have been postponed until after June 10.

There's no delay in the College for Kids summer camps, or summer childcare at the OCCC Child Development Center. The campus says the only child programs that have been canceled are those scheduled to be held at the Aquatic Center.
