On June 6 about 9:30 p.m., Tulsan David Swift was carrying his groceries through the parking lot of a Walmart, located in the 2000 block of East 81st Street, when he was struck by a car going approximately 40 mph.

Swift was taken to the hospital with several broken bones. Officers said he was hit so hard, his body shattered the back windshield of another car.

The speeding vehicle then crashed into the front of the store and the driver jumped out of the car and ran away.

A female passenger in the car was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Carey is described as 5-foot-11, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Court records show Carey was ticketed in Wagoner County in 2009 for speeding 101 mph in a 75 mph zone. He also has been arrested twice for driving with a revoked license.
